Dragones en BsAs / Dragons in BsAs

After a couple of months in which I've been absent from the blog, I decided to come back by hunting my favourite mythological beast: the Dragon. I went out hunting for these beasts throughout the city of Buenos Aires. It's not an easy job. It looks like most dragons are close to extinct around here, although I managed to find a handful. The idea is to find more of them....

Arte Callejero XII / Street Art XII

I truly think that looking for street art around the city of Buenos Aires is something I am never going to get tired of. There is variety and quality out there, and what I really enjoy is the dynamics of it all. It is constantly changing and evolving. From one day to the next, a simple wall becomes the canvas on which our street artists can do what they do best: Create.

¿Que hora es? / What´s the time?

What time is it? During our busy day to day life in the city that never sleeps, how many times do we ask ourselves: "What time is it?" As usual the answer can be found close at hand. Maybe closer than one would imagine. As with many things in Buenos Aires, you will only discover them if you keep your head up high! Below you will find just a small sample of clocks that can be found around the city of Buenos Aires.

I bet just about everyone in Buenos Aires has seen the below monument, which they might commonly refer to as the "Monument of the Spanish". It's real name however is an altogether different story. It's something that goes along the lines of: "The Monument to the Magna Carta and the Four Regions of Argentina". The monument was a donation from the Spanish community in celebration of the centenary of the Revolución de Mayo of 1810 (which marked the formal beginning of Argentina's independence from Spain). It was built entirely in bronze and Carrara marble. The sculpture was finalized in 1927. The monument is located in the corner of Avenida Del Libertador and Avenida General Sarmiento.
